This is interesting. I know you'll see that warning if there is no room to create the bootstrap, and you can manually make your own, once in diskdrake. I know for sure that when I got my drive back for the powerbook, I made an empty Mac partition table with parted from the rescue CD and then installed from there, only later going back and putting MacOS on, so I'd have it to test MOL.
