I'm no expert, but I'll gladly take a try at it. I'll keep you

I think it may be related to gnome-libs, as there's no change when
using WindowMaker.

Haven't tried it on the new user, but with the pre-existing ones,
dragging the icons around doesn't move them to the new
location. Dragging a panel launcher to the desktop doesnt create a
link. I've also updated ORBit using the cooker rpms, so the problem
may be there.

Honestly, I didn't look into that, but I think that Pablo did and
reapplied the patches.
BTW. Any plans for GIMP 1.1.9 in the contrib section ?
