I guess the compiling isn't a problem. You just need a few boxes
and an automated buildscript. On the other hand, the testing
could be fun. Imagine having to test everything on every platform.
It's a challenge ;-)
For the CD makers it's also a problem. Are we going to put a box
on the market for every platform? Or just for the "most popular
platform at this time (i686)" and let the other users download the
other versions they need... Maybe it's a business... maybe it's
not. That's for the people at Mandrake to figure out.
The thing I'm looking for is the opportunity to help build a stable
and up-to-date distro for my alpha computer. Selfish ain't
it?? Anyway, it's a lot of fun too ;-) I'm very happy & pleased with
the way it's going with cooker. Very open & fair.

True... although I haven't set my box up to do it... I beleive the
mdk6.1
on my celeron box compiles i686 packages... Where do I setup the
optimalisations for my alphaev56?
