well it was oxygen iso-2, 241298, tried upgrading a few
msec first, manpage was missing in earlier version

vnc to 3.3.3-1
error user a does not exist - using root
error group a does not exist - using root
with an OK box

what happens if not OK ??

something depended on libproc.so.2.0.6, couldn't seem
to find that with kpackage

linuxconf upgrading to 1.16r10-3, test install was ok,
i believed it of course and got

execution of script failed

which script, i assume post-install ??

sending this from the 5.3 box with working email, the oxygen box
seems to deliver to /dev/null, except for user root, root to anyone
doesn't seem to work, i've disabled postfix and sendmail(just in case)

is that a sufficient workaround together with swapping the modem back &
forth......
