Hi,

First I tried to subscribe to the list "confirme" using the web interface,
and I never received the message of confirmation... I also tried to send
directly a message to majordomo and sympa with "subscribe confirme", neither
of them worked. Where is the list gone?

Second : I have a new monitor since one week (Iiyama 702HT) and using
Xconfigurator, I noticed that by choosing "Custom", the text says that you
can either specify standard frequencies, either specify them yourself.
Unfortunately, the second option is... absent! This is sad because in MS95,
the Iiyama driver gives me 800x600x16 at 90 Hz, where in X, I can only get
"up" to 72 Hz at the same resolution (yes my video card has only 1 MB of
DRAM). So I'm stuck with 1024x768x8 at 100 Hz... 256 colors... Beurk... I
know that I could tweack /etc/X11/XF86Config by hand using the
/usr/doc/HOWTO/XFree86-Video-Timings howto to get the same performance as in
MS95 (or even better), but I think that in year 2000, this is not
reasonable.

Please answer me directly at my email address.

TIA
Gregus
