Thanks for your quick answer Pixel. So I just tried drakxtools (upgrading to
newt-0.50 and all the dependencies at the same time). I ran XFDrak but when
I want to test the resolutions, this leads to an "usual" problem (at least
for me) : "can't open fixed font" on X startup... So the 'test' sequence
doesn't work.
Can this problem be related to the fact that xfs never worked for me?
Running 'xfs status' gives me the message "xfs dead but subsys locked" and I
must replace the FontPath=/:-1 by
FontPath=/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/{ttfonts,misc,Speedo,Type1,75dpi,100dpi}
in XF86Config in order to avoid this "font fixed" error message and to load
X... I know that this problem is common to some people because I saw it on
mandrakeuser.org but saying "check that xfs work" doesn't help much to make
it work... =)
