I don't know. I read the original post because I am planning to use samba in
the same way and am collecting information. Reading about the difficulties
others have and how they solve them is useful when it comes time to
troubleshoot.
I have edited this reply to focus on the original question in the hope that
someone knowledgeable will respond. You might have better luck in the samba
newsgroup since this is not a Mandrake specific question. I notice that
those general types of questions fall into the "not well answered" category.
