did you install grub to hda or to another partition?

 

if you installed it to a different one than you should use the lilo boot disk, change the win2k boot menu to have an Linux option or reinstall mandrake and change the partition for grub to install on to hda instead of hda2 or whatever it would be right now.

Well, I specified grub during the install and I used /dev/hde bios=0x80 as the device option.  On reboot, I got my standard Windows 2000 boot.ini menu.  Grub apparently is not there.  Any thoughts?

could you test with grub instead of lilo?
also test with "disk=/dev/hde bios=0x80"
