mandrake didn't add the strlen() =< 8 requirement, it was already there in
the licq tarball.

btw, soemting funny i saw in the source: for gtk licq it doen't allow passwd
< 8 char, and for qt it doesn't allow passwd > 8 char.

i've hacked this. still, i dunno how will it would work iwth the mirabilis
server, my passwd isn't as long as yours :)
