My problems started when I updated to the 13mdk version of the kernel, everything worked fine before that. I think there may be some problems with the new ALSA, but I'm sure that KMix has problems. It does not appear to reflect the actual mixer settings at all. Look at Bug 3014 for complete information about my sound system. My problems started on March 7, when I updated to the latest cooker files. I was running the cooker from the night before, which worked perfectly. Volume is very low and when playing anything it crackles a lot and there is a lot of hiss. I tried adjusting volume in mixer but I couldn't get sound to normal. Sound worked just fine in Beta 3.
