Except that not setting the hostname (or making it possible via a gui)
could result in thousands of samba servers on Mandrake 9.1 thinking they
are "localhost", and possibly broadcasting these names on the network,
trying to join the domain with this name (via the winbind setup in
install) or trying to register in WINS. ie, not a good idea if you want to
be on friendly terms with your local Minesweeper Consultant and Solitaire
Expert.

Or said newbie should at least read /etc/postfix/main.cf (FYI, I was a
newbie when I setup postfix on a 7.2 box as a semi-public mail server).

Of course, packaging amavisd-new up so that this is trivial would be an
added bonus for Mandrake ... so much to do eh? (I haven't even gotten
around to updating amavis-ng!)
