------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-21 20:42 -------
Currently pilot-xfer does not communicate between the USB Visor and the terminal.
Currently when using pilot-xfer there is no result. With Mdk 8.2, this USB visor was
able to synchronize data with evolution.

gpilotd gives error messages that there is no device.

When using USBview, and pressing the hotsync button, the device appears on the list of
available devices.

I followed the instructions as best I could at
/usr/share/doc/pilot-link-0.11.7/README.usb, but still can make the palm connect to
pilot-xfer, nor to gpilotd (evolution).

description:
With Mandrake 8.2 I could synchronize a Handspring visorPrro with Evolution, and it
was seen by USBVIEW. Now, I cannot synchronize the pilot and, the pilot is not seen
by USBVIEW. When I try to use USBVIEW to verify the connection, I receive the
following error

Can not (sic) open the file /proc/bus/usb/devices.

Verify taht you have USB compiled into your kernel, have the USB Core modules loaded,
and have the usbdevfs filesystem mounted.

I am using a USB keyboard and mouse, and both work well.

the output of /proc/bus/usb/devices is:
