i see same problem on compaq ml370 server with one processor. booting with
noapic don't help, because kernel ignore this parameter (??) and apic setting
can be set only in bios..
strange thing is, that if system hangs during boot at position "find module
dependency" and when i press sysrq+b, after next boot system booted correctly,
without problem.
then if is used shutdown/reboot command, booting process agains stops at message
"find module dependency"...

description:
Installation of Mandrake 9.1 rc2 work fine, but eatch time I start it, it
freeze on the "Find module dependency" and I never see the green "OK" for it.

I have this problem with Mandrake 9.1 beta 3 and rc1.

With this problem, I can't test Mandrake 9.1 beta3, rc1 & rc2. It should be
usefull to make an rc3 for those like me that can't test rc versions.

Perhaps I have this problem because my PC have no IDE peripherals but only
SCSI ?
