Because it happened post-rc1 (I am sure I tested ACLs in RC1), and I was
too busy tracking down the dhcp issues post-rc2, plus I did most of my
testing on my laptop, and XFS isn't really for laptops ... and my cooker
box still runs 2.4.19-24mdk for Win4lin (it does have an XFS, and I think
an ext3 with acl).

But, this again shows the following problem:
-We are not verifying features in any packages. We us a reactive approach,
where we need a pro-active approach. If I had known no-one had tested ACLs
before release, I would have done it, but I assumed that the kernel team
would test their features. I try and test as many samba features as I can
(large files etc), which is why I tested ACLs in RC1, but nothing
significant changed since RC1 in samba (and I tested those samba releases
rebuilt on 9.0 anyway, with working ACLs etc).
