IPchains is a firewall.

on the commercial cd there is a virus checker as far as i know.

or else, install in "paranoid" security level. this will prevent
unauthorized use for sure -- but the problem is that it will surely
prevent from authorized use also :-)) it's quite restrictive, but
experiment abd you'll see! ;-)
