FWIW it seems that debian has a similar problem (looking at their web interface for querying packages at http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages, searching for files containing com_err).

Oh well, considering that libcom_err.so.3.0 isn't that big (5k), I don't think it's a big deal that cyrus-imapd compiles its own version (which also amounts to ~5k) while things are fixed.
