I suggest to start this discussion as soon as possible and have a physical
meeting during "Libre Software Meeting" at Bordeaux 7-10 july 2004.
This is a good place to finalize the discussion.
SuSE use rpm. Can they participate ? And why not Debian ?
Toward a universal package ?
IMHO, I wish to answer yes to all this questions.

I believe that all the diversity is a richness as long as it is useful.
But when it is no longer necessary, standardization must occur.

I saw Warly at LSM2003 and we spoke about a first "Cooker Meeting" at LSM2004.
( Debian used LSM2001 to make its first convention ).

So, you have two good reasons to come to Bordeaux next year.

LSM is not a commercial exhibition.
LSM is a meeting where developpers and contributors can make workshops,
conferences, coding parties... and also drink, eat and laugh ;-)
This year at Metz, LSM was 1000 people, 50 country, 27 topics,
170 conferences. It grows each year since 2000.
