"esd" is not supposed to give any sound (beep at startup) since it now uses
configuration from /etc/esd.conf ...
I don't see any problem here..
I need a reproducible test scenario..

I run a mixer program (aumix) and confirm that xmms (using OSS sound output
plugin) gives sound just fine. However the "esd" command gives no sound. There
was no such problem in LM9.1 or LM9.2beta1.
