Well, they all are well-tested, the author is far more conservative than I am.
And i don't want to maintain a subset of its work, it would really be heavy
work.

Already done :-)
urpme bash-completion
urpmi bash-completion.

The potential issue i see is the beginner trying to play a file with a crappy
name such as file.AvI, preventing completion for mplayer, xine and co just
because extension is not standard. Some angry people could again whine about
non-standard behaviour on mandrake...
Anyway, it should now get installed by default for anything else minimal
installation.

Can you put the bash-completion package on the first cd and install it by default?
It makes the command line so much more friendly to beginners and also gives
power-users greater speed and flexibility. It makes such a difference!
A lot of fingers in the world will be grateful! Thanks.
