------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-11-08 18:22 ------- I agree that some functions are pretty hairy and take quite some time! But the few seconds you may loose every once in a while are minor problems when you enjoy greater speed and flexibility with many other common commands. I think it's really worth enabling it for the basics like : cd, man, service, urpm*, mount/umount, kill, configure, make, cvs... As well as filtering extensions for particular programs. (xpdf TAB listing only .pdf, and so on.) Maybe we could just create a minor set of well-tested mdk completions and package it? Or offer it as a option according to the installation profile? Make it easy to deactivate/reactivate? There will always be issues... but this could definetely set the mdk cli apart. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Can you put the bash-completion package on the first cd and install it by default? It makes the command line so much more friendly to beginners and also gives power-users greater speed and flexibility. It makes such a difference! A lot of fingers in the world will be grateful! Thanks.
