"or something like that" is not very helpful bugreport...

Try to shutdown your network first, 
then shutdown the computer.
If it works, it's network driver that has problems...

wich brings me to the next question...
what wireless network card / driver are you using?


If it don't, try to shutdown network / pcmcia, and unplug
your card, then shutdown...

Does it work?
