Hmm, I think something got wrong on your system at one moment.. I've not been
able to reproduce your problem 100%.
What does "gconftool-2 -g /GNOME/Spell/mtime" returns ?
Try also "stat -c %Y /usr/lib/aspell" ?

Went into Evolution Tools --> Settings and clicked on the Composer prefrences
and Spell check tab. Spanish dictionary is not available to enable.
