------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-05-09 04:11 ------- Felix, I re-read the bug 2276, and I confirm you my bug has nothing in common with it, because bug 2276 addresses install case where the user put ISO files on the disk and only DISK1 ISO will be taken into account. If you read again my bug report, I "extracted the 3 ISO to an ext2 hdd partition" (notice _extracted_) that is, I recreate the full Mandrake install tree on my dedicated install disk (not the disk where I actually install MDK9.2), with all files visibles (no more ISO anywhere) => this fixes the problem of bug #2276 BTW -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: I tested the installation of Mandrake 9.2 RC1 from hdd, that is : extracted the 3 ISO to an ext2 hdd partition and booted from a hd.img dd'ed floppy. I tested both normal/expert, text/graphics install. The problem is that, whatever software groups I choose, that is, from ALL to NONE, through SOME (ie : only KDE, KDE+dev, etc...), it always fails, after agreed to "activate dangerous internet servers" (if any), I get an error message : 'basesystem package not selected', error in /usr/bin/perl-install/install2.pm(.gz) line 210 But the problem is that no group named 'base' exists !! It must be some internal, mandatory, minimum software package (ie : binary kernel, init, etc....) This is a blocker problem, because when clicked OK to the message, we get back to groups selection, and the problem runs forever..
