------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-05-09 04:45 ------- Sorry, wrong bug #. Bug 4495/bug 5012 dupe instead. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: I tested the installation of Mandrake 9.2 RC1 from hdd, that is : extracted the 3 ISO to an ext2 hdd partition and booted from a hd.img dd'ed floppy. I tested both normal/expert, text/graphics install. The problem is that, whatever software groups I choose, that is, from ALL to NONE, through SOME (ie : only KDE, KDE+dev, etc...), it always fails, after agreed to "activate dangerous internet servers" (if any), I get an error message : 'basesystem package not selected', error in /usr/bin/perl-install/install2.pm(.gz) line 210 But the problem is that no group named 'base' exists !! It must be some internal, mandatory, minimum software package (ie : binary kernel, init, etc....) This is a blocker problem, because when clicked OK to the message, we get back to groups selection, and the problem runs forever..
