[Cooker] VC background

I just noticed the backgrounds on the virtual console.
While it is the same image (from the same file, I assume), it looks  
great in gnome (console 7), but TERRIBLE on VC 1.  So bad, it's hard to  
read the text.

This isn't a big problem, since it doesn't seem to appear on VC 2-6 (is  
this intentional?), but it is quite ugly on VC 1.  Lilo has been set to  
video mode 788 by drakx.  This is a 1024x768 LCD laptop display.  It  
should look better than that, no?
