Please test and confirm that this bug is still valid with the latest cooker version, or close it. ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-07-09 01:18 ------- Still valid with the latest kernel 2.4.21-0.25 for LM9.1. Module amdtp can be manually loaded without a problem now, but still no sound comes from the speakers. I came across some note that in linux only one source can play audio CD. My internal DVD drive plays it OK. Could that be a problem? -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: I have HP200e DVD+RW connected through IEEE1394 port. It is well recognised so I can access it through /dev/scd1. But when I start playing an audio CD in it with KsCD, no sound comes from the speakers. I searched the web and found that the module amdtp is responsible for streaming the audio through IEEE1394 to the soundcard, and I see that it is not loaded. Manually inserting it gives: [EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# insmod amdtp Using /lib/modules/2.4.21pre4-6mdk/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/amdtp.o.gz /lib/modules/2.4.21pre4-6mdk/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/amdtp.o.gz: unresolved symbol cmp_unregister_opcr_R7ae23f09 /lib/modules/2.4.21pre4-6mdk/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/amdtp.o.gz: unresolved symbol cmp_register_opcr_Red15c04c
