Personally, I beleive a boycott is in order.  When Diamond released their
first cards with only windows drivers back in 93 or so, then refused to
release the specs to the public, everyone I knew at the time (including
myself) refused to buy any Diamond products, and suggested that their
friends/family do the same.  Diamond video cards went away for
awhile....and when the newer models were released the company was much
more open about releasing specs to developers.  Granted it may be a bit
harder these days with the market flooded with a proprietary OS but it's
definately worth a shot.
