I saw that there are now a test entry in my mirror for updates/9.2 So I tried it out. Problems... The screen said that I would be able to chose my mirror, but I never got a screen to do that. I got a black screen for about 5 secs, then it went on to congratulate me with my completion of the installation. Some ideas: A normal user should be able to chose the mirror here, for both updates, but also for *contrib*! Many installers just install from the 3 distribution CDs, and then they dont get access to the thousands of packages in contrib. A cooker user should also be able to chose his cooker mirror, with updates and contribs here. This could be a choice - which is explicitely discouraged for normal users. Eor it could be expert mode. Having both normal distribution and cooker available here, means that the same code can serve the two user constituencies, and that no need for changes then need to be done between the cooker and then normal distribution, which facilitates testing and makes last minute changes to create the gold thingie less likely. Best regards keld
