for some strange reason, the driver for your card is not loaded.
could you post the *full* output of "grep sound-slot /etc/modules.conf" ?
could you also look at dmesg output to see if there's something related to
sound module load faillure?
if there's a problem with ressources (irq, ...) allocation, this may be a pirq
or an acpi bug.
