------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-13-10 12:58 ------- I have a problem similar to this one. When trying to print a pdf to a Postscript Laser printer from kghostview/gv, I have 100% cpu time time and than a huge PS file is generated !. This exist in mdk 9.1 and in current cooker. This occurs when the pdf contains large images. The only apps that give somethin reasonable without eating so much CPU is ... xpdf even Acrobat Reader is not good. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: When trying to convert the pdf mentioned in the URL to ps with pdftops, gs starts eating a lot of CPU time for several minutes, and outputs a ps file of 91 MB. When opening this file with gv, the file seems to be invalid: gv says it contains only 6 pages instead of 22, the pages are empty, and in the gs messages window the following error appears: Error: /undefinedESP Ghostscript 7.07.1: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1 in ................................... Operand stack: Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- Dictionary stack: --dict:1051/1417(ro)(G)-- Error: PostScript interpreter failed in main window. Converting this file with pdftops from Debian woody gives a 36 MB ps file, which can be viewed without problems with gv.
