Ok,
I'll only reply to the last line. Since I thought the pcmcia support was
included in the kernel rpm itself, I assumed it would obsolete the
pcmcia-cs-2.2 (AFA I remember, I never saw any pcmcia-cs-2.4).
Now, I dont have the machine here, but I think I did an 'rpm -ql kernel |
grep cardmgr' and it came back empty.
