I'll only reply to the last line. Since I thought the pcmcia support
was included in the kernel rpm itself, I assumed it would obsolete the
pcmcia-cs-2.2 (AFA I remember, I never saw any pcmcia-cs-2.4). Now, I
dont have the machine here, but I think I did an 'rpm -ql kernel |
grep cardmgr' and it came back empty.
checking the Changes file from the source archive i find that the pcmcia
tools are listed (version 3.1.13 minimum)
Until the Drakes do a new version (the suse rpm won't work) you will
need to get the source code.. Some of the
support for stuff in the kernel depends on having the tools built for
the support .
And as far as my using HTML in e-mail lets talk about how many from
source kernels you have done? (i think ive done about a dozen )
