This is just a heads-up to package maintainers for those packages
listed in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/Changes:
There have been discussions on the linux-kernel list lately about
the supporting programs required to boot the 2.4 kernel. In particular,
the modutils package in Mandrake needs to be updated to the next
minor number to allow certain PIII instructions, and while it is not
yet official, there is a chance gcc 2.95 (which we already have) may
become the official compiler.
