Big problem! After upgrading to the new libstdc++ I
did not upgraded all of the new packages like
libreadline; and I did a reboot, ha, big surprise!
Needless to say, I had to boot with init=/bin/csh (a
shell not affected with the problem, since bash
apparently relied on libreadline) and upgrade the
packages. But as of yesterday, a lot of packages in
the rpmfind.net mirror (which is almost always up to
date) had problems with not finding the
__dso<something> symbol.

Same prob here. After fixing the libstdc++ prob (not
yet since a lot of packages still not working like
menu), and being able to boot again, I decided to
upgrade to everything on the mirror, and that included
the 2.2.17-0.1 kernel; big mistake. Now I can't boot
because it stays timing-out on DMA during the
partition check ...
