Oi,
this mail is primarily addressed to the kernel maintainers. I have added
Broadcast 2000 (http://heroinewarrior.com/bcast2000.html) to the Cooker
yesterday. I already got mails of some readers of the Cooker mailing
list that they liked very much to see Broadcast 2000 on the Cooker. But
they asked me whether there are also done the kernel patches recommended
by the authors of Broadcat 2000. At first
bttv
is to mention which is needed for TV/video card support. In addition,
one should have also the
DVD patch, UDF patch, Firewire patch
(links on http://heroinewarrior.com/bcast2000.html). Can you include
them? If it would the kernel to big or anyhow else unsuitable for
"normal" users (who do not use Broadcast 2000) then one could make an
additional kernel-video kernel.
Would be great for Linux Mandrake and all video users if this someone of
the kernel maintainers could do.
