Not quite. The AverMedia TVPhone98 works weird if the tuner is not
marked as type=5 (Philips PAL). By default it tries to load type 3
(Philips SECAM). In this case xawtv shows either trash or nothing at
all. Channels/frequencies do not seem to change under this option. It
seems to struck in some random frequency and remains there endlessly.
Our region is 99% SECAM (some PAL stations exist also). The tuner box
possesses a sign on the top as SECAM D/K, but it can receive either PAL
or SECAM. However, by some reason, it doesn't swallow type 3. This has
happened since I started to use it a year ago. The last kernel I tried
to force the bttv autoload was 2.4.0-test6.
