Hi everyone,

I am newbie to linux. Recently i have bought the copy of Mandrake linux and installed on PC. The installation is not complicated and easily to install. However, the internal modem is not correctly detected by the Mandrake. And i follow the menu provided there is a command "harddrake" to configure the modem. It is not quite helpful too. Is there anyone having any idea on configuration a modem?
For example, first the modem is set in /dev/ttyS1. While i query it, it return "Sorry, the modem is busy". What does it mean? Second in the list of "harddrake", it doesn't show any information of the modem. Is that meant the modem hasn't detected by the system or sth else?

Any suggestion would be great.

Thanks,
Leo
