Understood, with that I have no problem at all. But when one selects 'ALL',
at least it should install what one expects.

As it turns out, the installation *WAS* correctly installing 'ALL', as
Geoffrey's assumption (that I was being lazy for not installing joe from the
RPMS directory) is false - since I just looked in the RPMS directories of
all 4 CD-ROMs of the Linux Mandrake 7.2 Complete package I just bought, and
none contain so much as a hint of joe, or of ncftp.

Which brings me back to my original question "Why is joe missing from 7.2?"
(and makes me want to bitch-slap Geoffrey for his stupid response -- unless
he can show me where it is supposed to be hidden).
