Wow, that's bad, there's always someones machine that just has the wrong
pieces of hardware. I can tell you that on my system (Dual Celeron 533's,
Gigabyte 6bxd MB, Voodoo3 2000, Awe64, 3c590 network, Promise ultra 100 HD
controller) everything was fine here. I never have used grub myself and I
have heard too many people complain about it to try it. Lilo works fine.
