Hello,

I'm dead in the water here - the only way I can install
Cooker is a ftp install via my PCMCIA card network card. ALL
of the images have been updated except the PCMCIA image - which
dates back to December 22 or 23, depending on which mirror's
date you believe.

OK.. problem is that there are major problems using
this image. I think that's because that image is using a
different kernel than the current one. I think this is why
I'm getting these unresolved reference messages.

Anyway, tried again tonight, and got the usual messages.
Switched to console 2 and typed 'insmod ide-floppy' and got
the following:

DrakX v 1.389 built Fri Jan 19.. etc
#insmod ide-floppy
extracting ide-floppy.o
running insmod_ -f /tmp/ide-floppy.o
Warning: kernel module version mismatch,
/tmp/ide-floppy.o was compiled for kernel version 2.4.0-BOOT3
while this kernel is version 2.2.17-BOOT9

I presume that the booted kernel is the one loaded at boot time
from the floppy, and that the modules that the install program
is trying to load are from the stage 2 ramdisk, which is like
a MONTH newer?

Any help/ideas/suggestions would be MUCH appreciated!

Vincent Meyer
