I'm kinda confused.  If I understand the posts correctly, you folks
are gonna make the installer use kernel 2.2.. 'cause kernel 2.4 
doesn't support PCMCIA too well yet... but then will it install the
2.4 kernel?  or the 2.2 kernel?
