on mine it called the install partition /tmp/disk/xxxx...on mdk7.2 it was 
/mnt/hd/xxxx...if the partition itself is still there, a df /dev/hdxx ought 
let you know if it was wiped clean...if not it ought still be mountable with 
all data intact...
