Then in that case, I'll report my problem for the third time. Running
Beta 8.0 with a Savage S3 card. X runs fine in runlevel 3 (GNOME, KDE,
XFCE, etc.), but if I come up in runlevel 5, the screen is filled with
patterns, and the system will not respond to any keystrokes (ctl-alt-bksp,
ctl-alt-del, ctl-alt-fn) - power off is required.
How can I at least get some diagnostic data, if not fix this problem?
