Hello,
Has anyone been able to use xine? I know that right out of the box
it WON'T play encripted dvd's - but is supposed to be able to play mpg
movie files and related stuff. Also is supposed to be able to use Windows
dll file CODEC's - which is good for me if it does because this machine has
a c-cube dvd decoder built in that i can only seem to use in windows.
Anyway, when attempting to use it, and launching it from a
console with the name of the file in the command line, it loads the
input_dvd.so, input_file.so, input_net.so, input_stdin_fifo.so, and
input_vcd.so plugins, tries to do xine_init, and then says
xine: could not connect to socket
xine: No such file or directory
then hangs. Hitting enter on the keyboard then gives:
video_out: set_logo_mode 0
ac3_reset
.. reads the file, with nothing in the video out window but black.. then
viedo stream end
audio stream end
xine_notify_stream_finished
video_out: set_logo_mode 1
If you have this working, what did you have to do to get it to work?
