Well, I have seen this when I enabled AA. I use Russian locale, and all
russian strings disappeared (that includes a good share of kcontrol menu,
system menu - almost everywhere, I believe, only one fixed-width font was
available). I never got any reply as well :-/ (I do not expect to get an
immediate fix - but I would be happy to assist in debugging. I myself have
too vague knowledge of Qt/KDE/XFree86)
