30/05 8:28 yduret@bi /export/home/yduret/rpm/SPECS% urpmf libz
zlib1:/lib/libz.so.1
zlib1:/lib/libz.so.1.1.3
zlib1:/usr/lib/libz.so.1.1.3
zlib1-devel:/usr/lib/libz.a
zlib1-devel:/usr/lib/libz.so

you should install zlib1 and zlib1-devel if you some compilation.

from rpm -qi zlib1:
The zlib compression library provides in-memory compression and
decompression functions, including integrity checks of the uncompressed
data. This version of the library supports only one compression method
(deflation), but other algorithms may be added later, which will have
the same stream interface. The zlib library is used by many different
system programs.
