I don't know if this was discussed while I was not looking, but I
haven't been able to use the esound daemon for a few months. When I run
it, it finds the dsp device just fine. and I hear the level scale sound,
so it is not a driver problem.

But when any application tries to connect to it, it dies with a broken
pipe or SIGPIPE. It is easy to see in some programs like mpg123, but for
others I had to do a strace to see it.

Does any one else has this problem, or knows the solution?
