I already had this problem some time ago (but didn't report it).
"convert"ing images with ImageMagick "breaks" the image. If you have a
look at the images, you'll see what I mean:

http://dp.ath.cx/~askwar/magick.miff.bz2 (same as above)
http://dp.ath.cx/~askwar/magick.miff.png (BROKEN!)
Could someone please confirm this bug?
To check, do:
$ import
$ convert magick.miff magick.png
$ display magick.miff magick.png
If those images are identical, it's gotta be something else.
This is with ImageMagick-5.3.6-2mdk.
