My fault; my message was a somewhat mixed message, part because I
initially thought you meant to replace H.323, and part because I
realized you wanted to just _emulate_ the extra functionality of
NetMeeting, without being able to actually _talk_ to NetMeeting

that is still a noble goal and I encourage you to explore it, I only
meant to say that it wouldn't work for us because ...

Not "we" but "I". For the same reasons I must use OpenOffice to read
.DOC files.  Oh how I _wish_ all the interesting people in my little
world would only use open standards, but sadly, they don't.

Ditto here; I'd understood the announcement to mean they'd simply put
a gnome wrapper around openh323, so I didn't really explore it much
farther (because openh323 needs work on its own)
