I prefer this, that sounds more logic : the main volume ( Master ) can affect
all the volume ( as in windows ).

I don't have this problem ( SBLive Value ! ). Maybe a problem of the drivers
with the new 5.1 chips.

Master is about 70%, line ( VCR ) about 30%/50%, mic ( TV card ) the same and
PCM 50%.
For me, it's better because now I can increase the mic without without
saturation and in an easy way ( before I have to deal with Master + Digital +
mic : annoying when you watch TV in fullscreen as you have to reduce the
windows to increase the sound a lot ).

It's the normal behaviour ! See the windows version. It's ther same for alsa
drivers.

I don't know if we can call that perfectly.

I don't know if they can do something. At least revert to 2.4.8 emu10k1, but
you'll lose the improvement and the ability to use efficiently the emu-tools.
